    Here's a slightly lengthier one.

    By juxtaposing the serious tone of post 4.14 with the insipid but canonical post 4.15, I hoped to make you laugh. Or at least smile.

    I don't know if it worked.

    However, if you are feeling cheated out of your weekdaily Stuck, please know that Monday's post will be between 500-600 words.

    it made me laugh it made me cry. why must authors (especially serial authors) continually leave their readers in suspense? this goes with other unanswered questions such as: why do birds suddenly appear every time you are near? and why do we park on driveways and drive on parkways? and .......... etc

    By the way, I realized that the title of this one might look like it's part of the text.

    It's not.

    If you're reading through the story in order, it goes:

    "The cannon exploded.
    ... Sort of."

    Not "The Untimely Demise of the Afterthought. ... Sort of."
