Ok, this needs a lengthy explanation. ... It's supposed to be funny.
Maybe it didn't need a lengthy explanation.
Here's a slightly lengthier one.
By juxtaposing the serious tone of post 4.14 with the insipid but canonical post 4.15, I hoped to make you laugh. Or at least smile.
I don't know if it worked.
However, if you are feeling cheated out of your weekdaily Stuck, please know that Monday's post will be between 500-600 words.
That was...weird.
it made me laugh it made me cry. why must authors (especially serial authors) continually leave their readers in suspense? this goes with other unanswered questions such as: why do birds suddenly appear every time you are near? and why do we park on driveways and drive on parkways? and .......... etc
I drive on driveways and park on parkways ... I guess that explains all those tickets.
By the way, I realized that the title of this one might look like it's part of the text.
It's not.
If you're reading through the story in order, it goes:
"The cannon exploded.
... Sort of."
Not "The Untimely Demise of the Afterthought. ... Sort of."
